Tell us about the time you threw down the gauntlet and drew the proverbial line in the sand by giving someone an ultimatum. If you’ve never handed out an ultimatum but secretly wanted to, describe the scene and what you would say to put an end (one way or another) to an untenable situation.
Imagine yourself at the end of your life. What sort of legacy will you leave? Describe the lasting effect you want to have on the world, after you’re gone.
… and fold her broken wing…
winter’s harshness
dealt a blow today
one you will never feel
or know
but for the life
of one frail bird
struggling to survive
it took the wind
from beneath her wings
her song swallowed
she did her best
resolved
she used her two feet
to get her
to a place
where she could
lay her head
and fold her broken wing

Each day, I watch nature as it tries to endure the cold. Last week I had my own battle with winter and lost. So I like the bird am minus one wing and striving to write with a hand that does not know how.
stay warm and safe…
